I grew up in a little village near Barcelona.
My mother is Spanish, my father a Dutchman.
Music was always around and I think I must have been 15 years old when I got my first record player, and my parents gave me all their records so I had a lot to listen to when I started out with vinyl.

Though these records smelled from the rotten garage they came from I think it´s one of the things I´ve loved the most in this world.
I collected what I could find. Mainly old stuff. Sixties, Beatles, Blues..
One day an old friend of my parents, Jan Van Dorsten from the Record Palace in Amsterdam, invited me to play in his store for Record Store Day 2012. "Just come over and play a set" was all he said...

You can imagine I didnt think twice and so I left my hometown, bought a one way bus ticket and headed for Amsterdam!

I can assure you... I didnt leave the store empty handed the day I played at the store!

Two weeks later I started working at the sex theatre Casa Rosso on the Amsterdam Wallen as a bar tender, the place where everyone still remembered my dad who used to be the theatre's manager back in the 70´s.

The fact of  having such a job, gave me an economic stability that allowed me to integrate myself into the country and finance my musical carrier and getting the opportunity of buying lots of vinyl to get even more inspired to make it into the music bizz.
I also won´t forget my good friend/ex-colleague Jan de Bliek who played drums with the Swinging Soul Machine of Rotterdam, He did spend time making me listen to bands I never heard of and also giving me advice about the music business.

Vinyl is definitely what I like for sound rather than a digital file and The Record Palace gave me a lot of inspiration from records.

I eventually started writing songs in that period like What is the Reason, a song that was released as the b- Side of our debut single Weak For Love.
And this B- Side is only available on the 7" vinyl and not on iTunes or Spotify....It's my little present to my fellow vinyl lovers!
